When reserving a room, make sure to reference the Moon/Outzen Wedding to guarantee our guest pricing. Group room rates range from $169 to $189 per night(quoted room rates do not include taxes and applicable surcharges). Dress Code

Larry and Stephanie met in 1983 while working at Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. They dated for a while and not knowing the reason why, they drifted apart in 1984.Fast forward to 2022, Larry, who was living in Tampa, FL, was wondering what happened to Stephanie so he started searching for her online. Finally, after seeing multiple Stephanie Moon's and knowing (like all of us) that her looks had probably changed a little over time, he knew that he had found her on LinkedIn by her big, beautiful smile and pretty eyes and that she lived in the Dallas area.So he called her but, regretfully, she did not answer so he left a voicemail. Three weeks had gone by so he had given up waiting for a return call. Then, much to his surprise, she finally called. They had a very cordial conversation and for the next year they exchanged just a few text messages.Then, on November 14, 2023, while he was in the hospital recovering from heart surgery, out of the blue she called to check on him. Over the years, unbeknownst to Larry, Stephanie had thought of him often. Many times, she would pull out the photos of them on a fun, long weekend in Jamaica and wonder what had become of him. Stephanie always hoped that he was living a happy life. Ironically, during the conversation in the hospital, Larry stated that all he wanted was to be happy for the rest of his life.After many WhatsApp calls every day for the next three months, they determined that it was time to meet in person.So, in March 2024 they saw each other for the first time in person since 1984 at the New Orleans airport. They spent a wonderful weekend in the Baton Rouge, LA area. The meeting went great so they decided to continue seeing each other...so they did...in Dallas, TX (multiple times); Daingerfield State Park, TX; Jefferson, TX; Pascagoula, MS; Tampa, FL; New River Gorge, WV; Virginia; New Bern, NC; Savannah, GA; St. Augustine, FL; Palm Beach Shores, FL (twice); Martin Creek Lake, TX; St. Francisville, LA; Destin, FL; Fort Walton Beach, FL; Lake Talquin, FL (twice); Clearwater, FL; Santa Fe, NM (twice); and Angel Fire, NM.After all of that, they fell in love and did not want to be apart anymore! In January 2025 a golden opportunity happened that they could rent a house in Nacogdoches, TX from Stephanie's cousin, Judi, halfway (sort of) between Tampa and Dallas.On September 17, 2025, on Stephanie's birthday, Larry surprised her with a staycation at the Fredonia Hotel in Nacogdoches. At the end of the evening in the hotel's atrium, Larry again surprised her by asking her to marry him. Luckily, she ecstatically answered with "Yes, yes, yes..." as they both started crying.Continuing their travel saga, they went to...Corpus Christi, TX; New Braunfels, TX; Fredericksburg, TX; San Marcos, TX; San Antonio, TX; St. Francisville, LA (again); Destin, FL (again); Lake Talquin, FL (again); Tampa, FL (again).After spending a year and a half on Lake Nacogdoches, they decided to put down roots and buy the house they had been renting.And their adventure continues...
